The mass poll of students’ youth and focus-group interviews were carried out in different regions of Ukraine. The reasons which keep many young Eastern Ukrainian residents from active use of the Ukrainian language were ascertained.The training program on formation of student psychological readiness for the expansion of the sphere of Ukrainian language use was developed as well as the methodical recommendation was prepared.
