Stable structured surface of nickel can be formed using electrodeposition under spatially inhomogeneous magnetic field. A device that allow to process metal surface during electrodeposition under constant magnetic field was developed. An investigation of the structured surfaces was carried out using electron microscopic techniques. A possibility for production of new elements for high gradient magnetic filtering and separation was studied. Microrstucturator device was used for speeding-up the chemical etching of the openings. It was shown that magnetic field sufficiently increases the rate of this process.
