Interferon inducing properties of izatine, naphthalimide and indoloquinoxaline were demonstrated at first. It was shown, that interferon induction is a general property of the DNA intercalating planar polycyclic compounds. It was proved, that CMA isn't an unique interferon inducer, but only a typical representative of anionic inducers class.
