The standard technological and functional estimations of the mountain relief are suggested at exploitation and construction of various kinds of engineering structures as well as the estimations of territorial planning of tourism development. The system of the research regarding the relationships between the relief and the types of nature utilization has been substantiated. Methodological foundations of the nature protection geomorphology have been developed. The methods of estimation of the relief for engineering, recreational and nature protection purposes have been improved. The conceptual, planning and operational-technological suggestions have been given concerning sustainable nature utilization in the condifions of mountain relief. A medium scalemap (1:1000000) of the standardized and cognitive estimation of the relief of Ukrainian Carpathians has been developed for the purpose of recreation. The paper also presents cartographic structure-morphological and morpho-dynamic models for linear and flat engineering structures (scale of the 1:50000), typical characteristics of the relief microforms that occur at mountain skiing and walking tourism loading as well as the list of the locations having good prospects for setting up the geoparks.
