Using the developed protocol we expressed in Nicotiana benthamiana and N. excelsior vector systems harboring GFP, interferon and human somatotropin genes. The identity of recombinant interferon and somatotropin with the standards was proved with electrophoretic or immunoblotting analyses. The corresponding bilogical activities were found in the crude protein extracts of plants infiltrated with constructions containing interferon as well as somatotropin gene.
