It has been found that the interface reactions of the functional groups of oligomers immobilized are characterized by some features. Surface functionalization of mineral and polymeric microspheres was achieved either via graft polymerization of the functional monomers initiated by the peroxide oligomers immobilized at the surface or via polymer-modification reactions of the superficial polymer layers. It has been shown that 2D and 3D ordered structures are obtained at a certain balance of attraction-repulsion forces between particles which can be fitted by a proper choice of the nature and concentration of functional groups at the colloid interface as well as by changing of polarity and ionic strength of a medium.
