An unexpected effect - the reaction decomposition of the already formed final product YBa2Cu3Ox as a result of the transfer of more mobile component CuO across the boundary of the reaction zone is revealed. The method of an accelerated synthesis of YBa2Cu3Ox using Y2Ba4O7 as a precursor is developed and patented.
