Possibility to registrate navigative data and echogrammes in digital form at flash - charter is the main peculiarity of this series echsounders, differing them from the others. Echosounder SEACHARTER 480 DF can be used for solution of such tasks, as accumulation of the results in a form of bank of electronic echogrammes, attached to satellite bearings,building bathimetric maps and computer processing of echosignal. Computer processing of these echogrammes permits to determine size spectra of bubbles and to estimate the gas flow. The procedure of reading these records with the help of WaveLens programme, which was used earlier for processing the data of scientific echosounder SIMRAD EK - 500 has been worked out according to the results of studying formate of the echosounder SEACHARTER 480 DFrecords.
