The purpose of research are definition of strategic factors and mechanisms of region's competitiveness maintenance and development of scientific-and-methodical recommendations concerning its use for activization of region's competitive advantages. Methods of the system approach, economic-and-mathematical modelling, forecasting, the statistical and technical-and-economic comparative analysis were used. By results of research scientific-and-methodical recommendations, the scientific report and 3 monographies are prepared. Results of researches as the scientific report and recommendations are directed to the Ministry of Economics of Ukraine, Branch of computer science of NAS of Ukraine, the Lvov regional state administration, the Lvov regional advice. It is offered that strategic factors are factors which are to influence competitiveness during the long-term period and thus to assist solution of strategic problems.
