It was disclosed that additional annealing improves both the optical transparency in the luminescence line near the short-wave edge of the bandgap absorption and the light output uniformity. The oxidation-reduction potential of the thermal treatment was determined, as well as the lapping and polishing mode, which in complex allow to obtain crystals according to scintillation parameters that correspond to the ALICE project.
