Savoskin, Registration Date 01-03-2007 Organization The L.M.Litvinenko Institute of Physical-Organic Chemistry and Coal Chemistry popup.description2 It has been proposed the approach to estimate the stability of acceptor compounds of graphite intercalation using ionization potential of anions which were solvated by acid molecules. The plausible mechanism of residual graphite hydrosulphate formation has been proposed; the key stage of this is formation of graphite co-intercalation compound with sulphuric and chromyl-sulphuric acids. The quantitative model of thermal expansion of graphite intercalation compounds has been evaluated. New techniques for modification of graphite hydrosulphate have been developed. The method for obtaining of high-stable residual graphite intercalation compounds has been worked out; this is realized through the successive modification of graphite nitrate by acetic acid and water.
