The characteristics of photo- and thermostimulated luminescence of M2B5O9X:Ce3+ have been obtained. The results obtained indicate that in comparison with BaFBr:Eu2+?Gd2O3 commercial system the M2B5O9X:Ce3+ materials are characterized by a higher neutron selectivity and shorter afterglow. The hydrophobic meso-(monophenyl-p-oxypropyl) triphenylporphyrin (ОPP) and complex Yb-ОPP were prepared and characterized by UV-Vis and luminescent spectra in the water-lecithin medium. The conjugates of these compounds with protein molecules - bovine serum albumin (BSA) were investigated. These compounds are interesting at the initial stage of diagnostics of tumor tissues as IR-luminescent probes due to their spectral-luminescent characteristics and some biochemical properties.
