In the process of relapsing tumor atipia, hyperploidia and the number of pathologic mitoses increase in all cases. Unlike melanomas of conjunctiva and skin of the eyelids, uveal melanomas preserve their cytologic features regardless of the methods of treatment (spindle-cell A, spindle-cell B, mixed and epithelioid); it is the evidence of the stability of the mentioned groups og neoplasms with low probabiliti of atypia increasing not only in "natural" developmental conditions, but under the application of physicai therapy (photocoagulation, radiotherapy and combinet). Nevertheless when organ preserving methods of treatment are used on patients with uveal melanoma, modification of composition and prognostic significance of clinical and morphologic features is marked in several cases (includingpeculiarities of local immune reaction). It testifies the change of biologic features of melanomas in the process of treatment. The morphologic manifestation of tumor progression of spindle A neoplasms is the formation of spindle-cell A-B tumors capable to metastasis. Spindle-cell B, mixed and epithelioid melanomas are the morpologic manifestation of both direct and indirect progression from spindie-cell B tumors towards epithelioid ones. At the same time the quantity of epithelioid cell increases, cellurlar and cytochemical polymorphism progresses, aneuploidia and polyploidia increase. The usage of registration of reaction of uveal melanomas (photocoagulation, radiotherapy and combined treatment) allows to suggest the existence of distinction between the origin of spindle-cell A neoplasm's and spindle-cell B, mixed and epithelioid.
