A model for calculation the residual resource of the pipe of oil pipeline has been created, considering its defects, and on this basis the procedure has been developed for definition the optimal exploitation parameters (the velocity of transferring oil by pump, lowering the turbulence of its flow, the initial and final pressure on the pipe segment and in its parts located extremally, the frequency of opening and closing the bolts on the pump stations etc.), which will be safe during the given exploitation period till the next planned testing. The calculations for definition the strain parameters of the prefracture zone have been carried out in the vicinity of the contours of surface cracks in the pipe under its biaxial tension-compression.
