The transgenic nature of the obtained plants was confirmed by PCR. Resistant lines among transgenic potato were selected relying on RT-PCR and biotest results. Vector pСВ6992/Bt with endotoxin gene of Bacillus thuringiensisі for plastid transformation was constructed. Transplastomic plants of Solanum rickii and Solanum tuberosum were obtained by biolistic method. Furthermore transplastomic potato plants were produced by somatic hybridization of transgenic Solanum tuberosum and transplastomic Solanum rickii mesophyll protoplasts.
