Object of investigation: 3386 patients with tuberculosis, samples of blood and skin. Methods: clinical, morphological, molecular. Results: 8 cases of skin tuberculosis were diagnosed, among them 2 with lupus tuberculosis, 4 with papulonecrotic tuberculosis, 2 with Basen erythema, in 2 patients skin tuberculosis was associated with HIV/AIDS-infection. Relying on these findings prevalence of skin tuberculosis is 0,28 per 100 000, at the same time before our investigation only 1 patient with tuberculosis was registered in Kharkiv region, that correspond to prevalence 0,035 per 100 000. Tuberculosis diagnosis was confirmed histologically in 55,6% and by PCR in 85,7%. It confirms high specificity and reliability of DNA-diagnostic of infectious diseases. New method of local therapy of skin tuberculosis, that uses miramystin and dimexid with subsequent utilization of rifampicin as a powder was elaborated. New diagnostic algorithm for skin tuberculosis was proposed which include use of PCR-methods, which are especially valuable in cases of doubtful results of pathomorphological investigation.
