A procedure has been developed for welding aluminium alloy strengthened by nanoquasicrystalline particles by friction stir process, which ensures preservation of the initial structure. It is established that the strength of joints brazed by rapidly-solidified braze alloys is by approximately 20% higher than that of the joints produced using standard cast braze alloys.
