Basing on the obtained results, summarizing and systematization of existing data the kinetic model of origin and growth of oxide layer on the steel surface during the contact with the oxygen-containing Pb melt is proposed. To increase the corrosion resistance of steels it is proposed: to support the oxidation potential of melt in the range of 0.000001-0.00001 wt%О at 550-650°С; to use the steels containing chromium and silicon; to limit the use of nickel containing steels; to form in the near-surface layers of steels the fine-grained structure.
