Using somatic hybridization the new genetic lines of plants (S. carniolica, N. tabacum Ph. оfficinalis, S. sinuate, L. barbarum, B. juncea, A. thaliana, O. violaceus) have been created. The method of efficient transient gene expression in planta has been elaborated. The new approach of plastid transformation has been proposed. Using somatic hybridization the system of investigation of transposone transfer between genomes of different species has been created.
