The work goals are experimental simulation and studies in gasdynamic processes in gushing bed as applied to the development of technological equipments for capsuling ammonium nitrate. The research method is experimental simulation with full-scale and small-scale setups. Conditions of experimental simulation, resulting from calculated evaluations of the gushing bed, are found, design and regime parameters of experimental plants are chosen. A small-scale experimental plant (М 1:6) having chauged taper angles of the working section is developed. From the results of studies, the fullscale plant (М 1:1) having an inlet diameter of 360 mm, a taper angle of 52 digr. is upgraded. A like improvement is not in literari sources. Based on detailed studies in processes of gushing loose materials carried out with these plants using video recording and photography, special experiments on determination of filtering properties of loose materials, features of forming the gushing beds depending on a equipment geometry as well as properties of loose materials, conditions of gushing are presented. Requirements for the design of a technological equipment, the level of initial filling with starting material and the regime of feeding the vapor-air mixture are formulated to provide an efficient capsuling granules of ammonium nitrate. The results obtained are dedicated to improvement of the design of technological equipment for capsuling of ammonium nitrate and other equipments under the operating conditions of the gushing bed. The allows to reduce volumes and terms of their experimental and industrial development. Applications: chemical technology, development and creation of equipment with the gushing bed.
