The purpose of work – development of the national standard which establishes the general (common) requirements of fire safety and test methods of conformity to these requirements of isolated wires and cables and nonmetallic materials from which these products are produced. Methods of research – the analysis of normative base in sphere of application and tests of cable production for fire danger, experimental methods of researches of isolated wires and cables on fire danger. Product indicators of fire danger of isolated wires and cables behind which it is necessary to carry out (spend) an estimation of fire danger of this production are determined. The data concerning parameters of fire danger of cables and wires are received. Methods of definition formation of a smoke are offered to ability, toxic danger of products of combustion and mass heat of combustion of cables and wires according to tests of their nonmetallic elements, to ability of cables to preservation of integrity of circuits in conditions of test behind a standard temperature mode and the simplified quality monitoring of temperature of fire of nonmetallic elements of cables. Classification and marks of isolated wires and cables behind requirements of fire safety and test methods on fire danger is determined.
