The aim of the development is the study of embankment stability on weak substrates and determination of typical drawbacks during their construction. The method of investigation is the method of dynamical zoning according to DSTU B.V.2.1-9-2001; method of statistical analysis according to DSTU B.V.2.1-5-96. During the construction of embankments at bridge approaches there is always the problem with weak soils in their base that creates the floodplain of the majority of rivers and streams. Due to underestimation of physical and mechanical properties of these soils and in many cases false constructive decisions or incomplete execution of project solutions deformations emerge rather frequently.
