A numerical method has been developed for analysing coupled aeroelastic vibrations of a blade row in a 3D viscous gas flow. The method is based on integrating Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes equations by using the modified Baldwin-Lomax turbulence algebraic model and the Godunov difference scheme. The basic regularities of the affect of different forms of spatial profiling on the structure of 3D flow have been established and constructions of stages with improved aerodynamic performance have been obtained. Numerical analysis of nonstationary characteristics of the turbomachine rotor in transient conditions allows using the nonlinear viscous model to predict occurrence of self-exciting vibrations (flutter) or auto-oscillation of blades.
