Models of marine structures with rod and plate-type elements subjected to shock wave loads have been developed. 3D models are used in zones of elevated stresses and their localisation. The dynamic properties of the material are taken into account as functions of stresses, strains and stress rates. The dynamic behaviour of actual vanes and rotors of turbomachines, as well as rod and plate structures, including ribbed ones, have been analysed for the affect of shock wave loads.
