F-functions are used to formalize packaging conditions and mutual nonintersection of base objects. Special methods of local and global optimization have been developed. They were implemented in solving problems for packaging cylinders and parallelepipeds in a prism with account of inhibition zones and minimum admissible distances, and for problems of packaging polyhedrons. Algorithmic and software support has been developed. The results can be used for developing CAD systems. Application - transport, construction and machine building.
