The investigations use solid strain mechanics methods, and the finite and boundary elements method. Procedures were developed to determine the strength and dynamics of components in hydraulic turbine equipment. A technique was worked out and application software was developed for assessing the life and overhaul period of welded elements in hydraulic turbines with account of operation conditions. New data were obtained for assessing the life and overhaul period of hydraulic turbine components with account of various kinds of damages to retrofit the Dnieper hydroproject stations.
