The effects of a value of clearances between a body of a horizontal reservoir and seat type support on its stressed- strained state are evaluated. Technological routes for manufacturing a float for measuring a liquid level in reservoir are developed. A float prototype is made. Methods for predicting probabilistic indexes of residual life of shell structures considering the kinetics of evolution of the main faults, including surface and internal cracks, corrosion crack type defects, corrosion cavities and separation, are proposed.
