Description

The series of Streptomyces globisporus 1912 mutants defective in biosynthesis of landomycin E and genistein, resistant to antibiotics and activated in respect to silence genes of carotenogenesis were obtained under action of nitrosoguanidine and UV-light on the spores, mycelium and protoplasts. The recombinants with new combination of genes, including high active producers of landomycin E, were obtained after protoplasts fusion of different mutants. They produced 20-25% landomycin E more in comparison with initial strains
