Aim of the work - to work out a National Standard of Ukraine, which ensures obtaining the high qualitative yield and seed of vegetable pulse crops, preservation of their varietal purity, biological and economically -valuable signs and accordance with the requirements of Standards in force for fresh vegetables and for varietal and sowing qualities of seed. The Standard on the tech-nology of vegetable pulse crops growing for food-stuffs and seed is worked out on the basis of typical practical-flow process charts, operation technologies and many years investigations, which were conducted at Institute of Vegetables and Melons of UAAS, and its experimental stations with the regard for soil-climatic zones and experience of fore - most farms. In the draft of the National Standard "Vegetable Pulse Crops, Technology of Growing. General Requirements" there are adduced all the technologies cal operations in succession, which must be sticked to, during the process of French bean, garden pea, broad bean growing for food-stuffs and seed, which ensure accordance of the object of standardization with its destination, safety of works for the life and health of people and nature preservation and also create conditions for obtaining high qualitative produce and increase its competi-tiveness. The Standard after coming in force will be used in vegetable growing by producers of different forms of property, which are occupied with growing of vegetable pulse crops.
