As a result of numerical experiments the vortical structure of melt flows and distribution of heat in a TL bath at phase of tundish exchange are determined; the effect of convection on homogeneity of a melt which comes in outflow side sections of TL is established; recommendations at the choice of design data of the TL and operating modes for maintenance of conditions of uniform filling of CCP crystallizers with liquid metal and to removal of non-metallic inclusions from melt are formulated.
