Gryshko National Garden of theNational Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2 The concentration levels, diurnal and seasonal dynamics of ambient ozone as well as individual episodes have been studied using UV gas analyzers of ozone (TEI 49i and TECO-49, USA). The protective effect of a number of antioxidants (synthetic and the ones of vegetative origin) against ozone injuries was studied on test-plants of tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum cv Bel - W3) and clover (Trifolium subterraneum cv Geraldton). For the first time it was shown that not only the well known antiozonants such as ethylenediurea (EDU) and ascorbic acid could protect sensitive plants from ozone injury but also water extracts from the leaves of basil (Ocimum basilicum), marigold (Tagetes patula) and clary (Salvia sclarea), growth stimulators "Emistym C" and "Agrostimulin", as well as modern fungicides "Topaz", "Quadric", "Flint" and "Strobi". Among tested antioxidants the best protective properties had fungicide "Strobi" and the mixture of "Emistym C" and ascorbic acid. Among antioxidants of plant origin the water extract from basil leaves was the most effective. Product Description popup.authors popup.nrat_date 2020-04-02 Close
