In so doing, conflict-controlled processes with cylindrical terminal set are treated. On the basis of the method of resolving functions, sufficient conditions for the game termination in some quaranteed time are obtained. These conditions are realized in the class of stroboscopic strategies and expressed in the form of star-shapedness in certain cone or convex-valuedness of special set-valued mappings. Various schemes of the above-mentioned method are suggested. In particular, the functional form of Pontryagin's first direct method is derived. This makes feasible to compare the quaranteed times of various schemes of the method of resolving functions as well as each of these times with the time of the first direct method.
