Results and their novelty: For the first time the decline of the indirectly-induced genomic instability level in vivo has been shown in lymphocytes of patients with uterine body cancer during 1-2 years after radiotherapy. Simultaneously, the preserving of enhanced chromosome fragility in cells proliferating in vitro was found. For the first time the variability of clastogenic activity of blood plasma has been estimated using the test-system for cytogenetic assessment of the bystander effect in a group of patients before and after radiotherapy. For the first time a different cytogenetic sensitivity of cells in the first and subsequent mitoses during bystander effect incidence and importance of considering the test-lymphocyte donor’s individual responsiveness has been shown. For the first time the role of the radiation-induced genetic background has been assessed in compare with the value of the initial intrinsic cytogenetic status in formation of non-targeted effects in cancer patients’ lymphocytes in late time after radiotherapy.
