It is given the technical and economical methods of the steel production with the usage of traditional and latest technologies which ensuring lowering energy consumption. It is presented the information on obtaining energy from renewal sources, wastes of the basic production and the possibility of its using in the metallurgical branch. The performed work gave the possibility to propose priority directions on energy saving in steelmaking production and to prepare recommendation materials on the thermatic under the consideration for the metallurgical specialists.
