The largest attention to investigation of pyrope, cromospinellide, picroilmenite, cromodiopside and omphacite from sedimentary rocks of western and south-western parts of the Ukrainian shield was made. Their belonging to the rocks of different upper-mantle facies was determined and their native rocks were speciffied. Spectroscopic features of placer diamonds from each geoblock of the Ukrainian shield were examined. The typification of these diamonds for physical classification on the basis of the infrared spectroscopy was made and their thermal history was determined.There was appreciated their probable time of formation, their paragenesises and geological-genetic type. The mineral inclusions of diamonds of the Serednyoprydniprovski geoblock were studied.It was shown they belong to the primary inclusions of the lerzolite, pyroxenite and eclogite paragenesises and to the secondary inclusions that restored pecularities of the environment of diamond formation. The diagnostics of the mineral inclusions in the diamonds from other geoblocks of the Ukrainian shield by means of the Raman spectroscopy was made. By study of mantle minerals the reconstruction upper mantle of the Ukrainian shield, its structure and composition, discovery of its geochemical indicators for majority of the geoblocs of the shield, and distribution of the geoblocks for degree of the depletion and metasomatism of upper mantle was made. The special features of the diamonds with structure and composition of the upper mantle of the Ukrainian shield were compared. The probable age of diamondiferous native rocks was forecasted and the prospects for native diamondiferous of each geoblock of the shield was estimated.
