Purpose - enhancement of scientific and practical aspects of SGCU expert activity, fulfillment of regulative requirements on attestation rule for precious stones, formulation of basic qualitative and value appraisal for color precious stones of the State Fund of precious metals and precious stones of Ukraine, being kept in the State Storehouse. Research methods - mineralogical, expert appraisal, market monitoring. Results - elaboration of technical regulations for attestation and appraisal of emeralds, which is the basis for forming of value indices depending on the quality fo the stones. Implementation level - the regulations are regulated with the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine and implemented by the State Gemmological Centre of Ukraine. Sphere of application - the technical regulations are applied for natural emeralds for jewellery and as independent gems for domestic Ukrainian market and for export; they are applied by the State Gemmological Centre of Ukraine, as well as by contracts with other enterprises, institutions and organizations at the territory of Ukraine and entities.
