Thus, the establishment of deep free trade area with the EU is one of key tasks for foreign economic policy of Ukraine. Previous researches showed that the elimination tariff barriers in commodity trade would be insufficient for providing of the considerable gains in country’s welfare and real GDP growth. The reduction of barriers in service trade would be far more important. The conducted research allowed identifying the service sectors, on which the EU usually focuses in the FTA negotiations, and the conditions embedded into the signed FTAs. Also, the analysis of current regulatory framework of service sectors in Ukraine were conducted, and the quantitative assessment of consequences of lowering regulatory pressure and the elimination of discrimination in the service sectors due to signing of deep FTA with EU on theeconomy of Ukraine on the whole and on separate sectors was done. It was shown that signing of the deep FTA should positively influence the economic development of the country.
