Obtained results have allowed to recommend the PME/Pi ratio to apply as a marker of tumor hypoxia level. It was demonstrated the prognostic significance of MMP-2 activity and microvessel density in tumor tissue. IT was shown that high levels both of hypoxia and MMP-2 activity promote the development of minimal residual disease. Obtained results were summarized to prepare the recommendations for clinical application to prognose the clinical outcome in patients with gastric cancer.
