The article of research is basic economic indicators of growing and realization of pigs, positions legislatively normative base, grouping of agricultural enterprises on the quantity of maintenance of pigs, productivity and efficiency. Purpose of work. The pig breeding in Ukraine traditionally occupied a considerable place in the production of goods of agriculture, but during the last years industry became unprofitable. In this connection more effective support is needed from the side of the state as a considerable price increase for liquidation of unprofitableness restrains a temper low solvency of basic users of products of the pig breeding. Research methods: dialectical method of cognition and fundamental positions of economic theory, laws of demand and supply, law of cost, to the marginal utility et al. The followings methods were thus utillized: abstractly logical, economic statistical and economic mathematical, correlation analysis, balance, calculation-structural, groupings, index rows, graphic and others like that. Basic results. For the ground of expedience of state support the analysis of efficiency of production of meat of pigs was conducted at the different levels of the productivity of animals, price situation on markets, calculations are conducted minimum possible standards of prices on pork depending on quality and a requirement is expected in facilities for state support of industry.
