The field of application of regenerating gases and demands to them are indicated.Material and heat balances of regenerating gases production have been performed. It has been shown, that dry-quenching unit was one of the best industrial reactor for production of regenerating gases for metallurgy.Taking into account that in the dry-quenching reactor conversion of the most complicated gas mixture (with coke gas) gives the maximum output of regenerating gas, it can concluded that the products of coal gasification by different technologies may give commercial-scale quantities of coke substitute. Ecological and technological and economic advantages of the dry-quenching reactor as industrial units for XX production from mixtures of different technologies of coal gasification .have been shown. Imperfection of the accepted technology of balance composition with ex - power method ofbalance analysis has been shown.
