Subject of inquiry is the passenger cars intended for the operation on UIC tracks and fitting out of them with the diagnostics means, as well as the requirements for the strength of the freight wagons. Purpose of work - development of the national normative documents, harmonized with the International and European standards, which ensure the compliance with the standards requirements of UIC relative to railway rolling stock safety and the definition of the mutually accepted approaches to its construction. Series of works have been done during researches, concerning the identical translation of the international documents, the execution of the harmonized standards drafts, their coordination. The matters of the standards drafts have been composed and presented to Derzhspozhivstandart: ДСТУ UIC 557 "Main line passenger cars. Technical means of the diagnostics of the damages of the wagons"; ДСТУ UIC 577 "Main line freight wagons. Strength of the freight wagons".
