The main tendencies of retail trade development in Ukraine are revealed. Analysis showed that the most influential for the potential of Kharkiv supermarkets were the following factors: financial resources, work economy, the number of inhabitants and workers on the local market and stability of demand. The research showed the highest correlation dependence of marketing activity from commodity policy and sails stimulation in shop. Following the research results some recommendations and marketing program for supermarket were worked out. Research results are introduced into practice of work in supermarket “KLASS”, research techniques will be a employed in the work of Kharkiv region retail trade enterprises.
