The object of research is the processes of development of posttransition market economy and formation of interaction costs of posttransition economy. The aim of research is revealing the essence and regularities of development of posttransition market economy, revealing the economic sense of interaction costs, in-vestigating the influence of interaction costs on the development of posttransition market economy. The method of analysis is institutional, and economic and mathematical analy-sis of the processes of formation of posttransition market economy interaction costs and their influence on its development. Posttransition market economy is the present-day stage of development of the economic system of Ukraine which, among other factors, is essentially affected by in-teraction costs. The essence, features and problems of development of the posttransi-tion market economy are revealed in the report. Therewere proposed the measures of economic policy directed towards bringing the processes of real institutionalization of posttransition economy to the processes of its formal market institutionalization. There was revealed the economic sense of interaction costs, grounded the necessity of their theoretical analysis equally with investigating transformation and transaction costs which are traditionally studied by economic theory. Using the methods of eco-nomic and mathematical analysis, there was found the optimal level of social inequal-ity which allows to minimize the interaction costs level and corresponds to the maxi-mum of economic efficiency of posttransition economy.
