A method of noncontact measuring of the angular velocity, the turning angle and beating is presented. According to this method a parameter being measured is converted by the spatial-optic modulator in the form of Archimedean spiral into a linear displacement of the light spot on the position sensing device. Application of the method makes possible to widen the measuring range of the angular velocity in up to 5 times. A mathematical model of the measuring conversion of rotary motion parameters into the current of position sensing device is derived in the form of the system of differential equations. A transient state duration is calculated. The conversion functions of the turning angle, the angular velocity and beating are derived for static mode. A generalized structure of optic-electronic measuring converter of rotary motion parameters is offered on the basis of spatial modulation method. A microprocessor measuringdevice is constructed using this measuring converter. A design procedure of optic-electronic measuring devices on the basis of spatial modulation is developed.
