Influence of conditions of swaging and thermal mechanical treatment on the structure and mechanical properties of hafnium plates is studied. Experimental hafnium plates are fabricated. It is shown that their properties satisfy with requirements for structure materials that are used as neutron absorbers. Technology of adapter elements production is developed by hot rolling in vacuum. Relation between structure variation of composite and decrease of strength under the action of variable thermal fields is established. Thermal cyclic resistance of laminated composite materials is increased at the expense of phase-structure stability of materials for damping and barrier interlayer.
