Sci Ukraine popup.description2 The aim - to investigate a mechanisms of the developing a disturbance of the vessels reactivity and the myocardial contractile function in adult and old animals during experimental diabetes mellitus. Object - adult and old Wistar rats, adult and old C57DL/6 mouse. Methods - physiological, biochemical. It was shown that endothelium-dependent vasodilation and smooth muscle cells reactivity are decreased in adult and old rats with the experimental diabetes mellitus. The vessels sensitivity to insulin were increasing in old rats but no adult. Vasoconstriction increased in adult mouse during diabetes mellitus. The experiments on the isolated hearts from adult and old rats with diabetes mellitus have shown that myocardial tolerance to the effect of ischaemia/reperfusion increased in experimental animals in comparison with control, but isolated hearts firmness to ischaemia/reperfusion were greater in the old rats compared to the adult. That is linked with various changes of cardiomyocytes enzimes activity inadult and old rats and with cardioprotective mechanisms (declining of the coronary flow, decreasing of the hearts rhythm in aging). Thus, the vessels reactivity and the myocardial contractile function changes unequally in adult and old animals during experimental diabetes mellitus. This is necessary taked into consideration under working out a new methods of a treatment a cardiovascular pathology which is evoked by diabetes mellitus.
