In work was proved that preprocessing the leather by phosphonium compounds or glutaric aldehyde instead of chromium compounds with following vegetable-syntan-aluminum tanning promotes increasing shrinkage temperature of leather, perfects their elastic-plastic characteristic under simultaneous double reduction of the vegetable tanning consumption, raises the antimicrobial characteristic that necessary in production of the orthope-dic leather.
