The draft of the State Standard of Ukraine "Vegetable Plants. Method of Vegetative Reproduction in vi-tro" is worked out with the aim of determination of optimal requirements to sequence of stages of clonal microreproduction, initial material, composition of medium and conditions for plants - regenerants adaptation to growing in the ground. The standard ensures sequence, high quality and reproduction of works fulfillment with the culture of isolated tissues. Introduction of the standard in breeding and seed growing work will ensure the speeded-up reproduction and sanitation of plants from infection, it will allow to reduce areas and save and labor and material expenses for their growing, favor the yield increase of the sanitated material. The use of the method of plants speededup reproduction in vegetable growing will begin conducting of breeding and seed growing work with native varieties according to generally accepted world standards. Novelty of investigations - for the first time there is proposed to conduct breeding and growing of vegetatively reproduced vegetable plants on the basis of a modern biotechnological method. The standard draft is interconnected with the normative documents in force as for the safety of works for the life and health of people and nature preservation during carrying out plants cloning. There are no standards in force for this object of standardization in Ukraine. The standard after coming in force will be used by enterprises of different forms of property which are occupied with breeding and seed growing of vegetable plants.
