Object of investigations - seed of vegetable and melon crops varieties and hybrids of IVM UAAS and its experimental stations breeding. Subject of investigations - variability of seed quality indices and varietal and hybrid purity under the influence of presowing treatment by different chemical, biological preparations and microwave radiation. Methods of investigations - field, laboratory (determination of germination, sprouting energy, humidity, mass of a thousand seeds by existing methods), biochemical, measure-weighting (analysis of the yield structure, evaluation of seed productive properties), mathematical-statistic methods. Fоr the years of investigations there is clearly observed increase of sprouting energy up to 15 % and laboratory germination to 8 % on the seed of the carrot variety Yaskrava after treatment by chemical and biological growth stimulants and revealed the positive effect of microwave field on sowing and productive indices without deterioration of the yield biochemical composition. The total yield did not differ significantly in some crops from the control, but the largest yield increase with respect to the control з shown by the plot of the carrot variety Yaskrava with the exposition 110 seconds, the plots of the water-melon variety Ogonek with the exposition 50 sec. and the plots of the white cabbage variety: Kharkivska Zimova with the exposition 80 sec., where it made гір about 20 % and more, or 5.5; 6.3 and 19.6 t/ha correspondingly.
