Aim of the work - creation а competitive F1 hybrid for growing under open field conditions. Methods of investigations - hybridization in combination with different kinds of selection. In the result of breeding work by method of synthetic breeding there has been created, a triple F1 hybrid of cucumber Evrika - entomophilous, early-ripening, with middle stems. The total yield is 30,1 t/ha, maximum one - 42,1 t/ha, output for the first ten-day period of fruit bearing is 63,4 %. Plants of the F1 hybrid Evrika are mainly of female type of flowering, relatively resistant to downy mildew. The length of a young fruit is 10-12 cm, its surface is large torulose, hairiness is black, the cucumber is suitable for fresh consumption and canning. Content of dry soluble matter is 5,1 %, general sugar - 2,46 %, vitamin C at industrial ripeness - 10,89 mg/100 g of d. m. KEY WORDS: cucumber, F1 hybrid, crossing, yield, resistance.
